Photographer Dominic Cooper was born and raised in Liverpool, UK. After originally studying graphic design his focus soon shifted to photography when he became obsessed with the fashion imagery contained in the magazines of the late eighties and nineties. After studying photography in both Liverpool and then gaining his degree at Nottingham Trent University, Dominic moved to London to pursue his photographic career. Starting out as a freelance assistant and working with a number of different photographers, Dominic then seized upon the opportunity to work as an assistant to top British fashion photographer Nick Knight. Dominic left in the autumn of 2004 after a very successful three and a half years. With a strong eye for both colour and detail, his work holds a strong graphic element, whilst retaining a quality of classic photography retained through his technical knowledge of lighting. He has since contributed to many top European publications such as Pop magazine, Russian, Greek and German Vogue, Mixte, GQ both British and German, Wonderland magazine, ES magazine, Sunday Times Style, Soma, Volt, Luxure, The Financial Times and others. Advertising clients have included, BBH, Leo Burnett, Exposure, Barclays Bank, Sirrus Strongbow, Jonathan Aston, Pretty Polly, Persil, Van Huessen, Bracher Emden and others.
